Your employees are many times the face that your customers meet first. Incorporating employee photos in your social media feed are a great way for current customers to connect with the people they already know and love. Plus, it is a great way for potential customers to get to know them before they even walk in the door.

Today, I’m sharing my favorite ways to highlight employees on your social media feeds.

One of the great things about the City of Fairhope and the Eastern Shore are all the many types of businesses – from family owned boutiques to industrial ships and aerospace to restaurants, this area covers the gamut of types of business.

No matter which type of company you have, it’s important to show up online and connect with your audience. It’s also a great tool for recruiting new employees, so they can see how great your work environment is and what they can expect when working for you.

Fun ways to highlight your employees on social media:

• Birthdays (easy one)

• Staff highlights- include their name, job title, and what they love most about their job. Highlight everyone from the CEO to the summer intern.

• New employees

• Staff life events like weddings, babies, children graduating high school/college, and everything in between worth sharing

• Work outings

• Special events

• #TBT photos (Throwback Thursday)

• Notable staff accomplishments, such as employee of the month

I even do it myself, whether like it or not! I love being behind the camera for a reason, but I know that putting myself out there helps you get to know me better. Since my ultimate goal is to help you build your business, it makes it all worth it!
