Are your images attracting customers?

We love helping small businesses succeed and one of the ways we do that is by helping curate and create images that resonate with their audience.

First, let’s start with your audience…

Who is your online audience, and more importantly, who do you want your online audience to be?

The first step in knowing what content to show your audience starts with figuring out who your audience is. Do you know who buys your product or service? Do you know where they live? Do you know this, but want another type of person to buy your product or service? By taking a deep dive into who makes up your audience, you can start to identify where they live, what things interest them, where they like to go, and things they like to do.

What does your ideal customer like?

The next step is to figure out what your audience actually likes to see. As a business owner, my main goal online is to provide useful information for my current and potential clients that is helpful for their business. Maybe you want to be entertaining. Whether you’re informational or funny, you’ll attract the type of audience who resonates with your personality. That’s why it’s important to know what your ideal customer looks like, then create your content (while still fitting your business’ personality) that they will love to see.

A GREAT WAY TO DETERMINE WHAT YOUR IDEAL CUSTOMER LIKES ONLINE IS TO IDENTIFY A FEW OF YOUR IDEAL CLIENTS – WHETHER THEY ACTUALLY ARE CUSTOMERS OR NOT – AND RESEARCH WHO THEY ARE FOLLOWING. WHEN YOU START TO SEE A COMMON THEME, THEN YOU’LL KNOW YOU’RE ON THE RIGHT TRACK.

I love using this example of my Dad’s store. He has a small pharmacy in South Alabama with a gift shop, and while we were trying to sell the products in the gift shop, we knew that his audience loves Fixer Upper and Alabama football. So…guess what we did, we created images that fit those lifestyles. And guess what happened! He started attracting more customers and doubled his prescription business. We love this type of response!

By understanding exactly who our audience was and who we wanted it to be, the photos we used attracted and retained our audience to increase sales and drive online growth.
